~ That funky groove ~

They’re probably best remembered as a “one-hit wonder” for Cult of Personality, even though that wasn’t the only track that got significant airplay. Open Letter to a Landlord grabbed a lot of attention in the late ’80s with its socially-conscious message. And Corey Glover later ended up as a VJ in the Viacom family also. But this track has that great funky intro, and some excellent rhythm section groove throughout the song all while singing a fairly heartfelt love song that encapsulates a whole lot of teenage angst in 4 minutes.
